You can connect your Windows Mobile smartphone to your laptop using a Bluetooth wireless connection. Through this connection, you can access Internet from your laptop, using your smartphone as a wireless modem. Check email, surf the web, access directories behind your company's firewall, and run applications on your corporate network - anywhere your Treo smartphone can use the mobile network's data services.
What do I need?
- Windows Mobile Treo smartphone.
- Dial-up Networking data services on your mobile account. Contact your mobile service provider about adding this feature. Some regular data plans for PDAs and smartphones, with which you check email and surf the web on your smartphone, do not include the Dial Up Networking capabilities for devices tethered to laptops.
- Bluetooth wireless capabilities on your laptop.
